 Welcome to ben's kayak site, designed
as a
resource for recreational paddlers in the Northern Virginia area --
and at the same time a fun way to share the enjoyment of kayaking.
To get started, I've put together a collection of over 50 boat ramps, river access points and scenic destinations at the "northern VA kayak access" link. If you live anywhere in northern Virginia, southern Maryland or north-eastern WV you can easily find new spots to get on a river this weekend. You can follow that up by clicking on "recommended trips" to view a few of my favorite paddling haunts, both one way (requiring two vehicles) and there-and-back. I'll keep adding to these as I find new favorites. If nothing else it will give me an excuse to get out on the river more often and try out new routes! Happy paddling! |
